The Waterway Inn in Indian River is currently hiring for an experienced part-time housekeeper.

 

Your duties will include ensuring that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard. You should also be able to resolve guest complaints and queries promptly and in a polite manner.

To be successful as a housekeeper, you must be able to perform and meet the following responsibilities and requirements.

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Changing bed linen and making beds.

• Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.

• Sweeping and mopping floors.

• Vacuuming carpets.

• Dusting and polishing furniture.

• Emptying trash containers.

• Cleaning public areas.

• Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.

• Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.

• Greeting guests and responding to queries.

• Returning and restocking cleaning caddies at shift end.

 

Housekeeper Requirements:

• 3-5 years previous housekeeping experience.

• Must have flexible working hours and be available on weekends.

• Prioritization and time management skills

• Working quickly without compromising quality

• Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products.

• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.

• Physical mobility and stamina.

• Ability to follow instruction.

• Professional and polite.
